TOYO TIRES Supporting a Team in 12H Hungary 2009

Osaka, Japan - 8 October, 2009 - TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) announced that it provides tire support for a team entered in 12H Hungary 2009 which be held on October,10th in Hungaroring Circuit, Hungary.

Team:  Lammertink Racing with TOYO TIRES
Tires:  PROXES RS1 (DRY) and PROXES RR1 (WET)
Front:245/640R18 Rear:285/680R18

 

12H Hungary 2009 is 12hours endurance race and will be hold at Hungaroring Circuit, has used F1 Hungary Grand Prix, during 9th October to 10th October.

The race is a new event of the second by this year but, a number driver not only professional but also amateur participator will be increased.

The Lammertink Racing is a Holland-based team and has been participated in other races in Malaysia
and so on.

Mr. Tom Coronel
Mr. Tom Coronel is a developer and ace driver. He won Japan Formula 3 and Formula-Nippon championship. He did a great job in Super GT. Now, he does a good job in World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and Le Mans 1000km Series.

Mr. Henk Haane
Mr. Henk Haane is a Dutch driver who has wide experience in various races such as FIA-GT3, GT in Netherlands, Touring Car and Endurance races. He has already won a championship in GT this year.
Note: The 3 drivers participate in this race. However, TOYO TIRES signed a contract with Mr. Yasushi Kikuchi as a reserved driver, who participates in Super GT and Super Endurance and has a lot of experience in NEburgring 24h race.

Mr. Yasushi Kikuchi
Mr. Kikuchi is a Japanese race driver who is experienced in the number of races of the Super GT and Super Taikyu series, and continues participating in the Super GT and Super Taikyu series this year. He also has participated in the 24 Hours NEburgring several times. He writes magazine reports and evaluations.
