Toyota chooses Eco-Friendly Tire "PROXES" for the 3rd generation Prius

Osaka, Japan-May 22, 2009- TOYO TIRE & RUBBER Co., LTD. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) announces that it starts delivering its eco-friendly tire, "PROXES R30A" to the third generation Prius, TOYOTA Motors for Domestic market in Japan. The Prius was just launched on May 18.
"PROXES R30A"is a tire with improved lower rolling resistance and super silence. This tire was developed for the new Prius which aims for both overwhelming performance in eco-friendliness and fun for driving.
※Rolling resistance = Resistance acting opposite to the direction of travelling.
