R&D

Toyo Tires Group is a “technology-driven” manufacturer. We manufacture environmentally-conscious, high value-added products such as tire, vibration control, and heat insulation products from urethane and rubber.

Our R&D Division is focused on hiring and training employees so that they can support the future growth of our company. We are especially interested in helping our entry- to mid-level employees advance their skills through various opportunities and experiences.

For example, Central Research Center, which plays the key role within R&D, is focused on developing employees who can “think logically, communicate their ideas, and are technical experts”. To do this, the center works to raise the level of its employees’ basic scientific knowledge through on-site lectures and classes taught by mid-level employees to entry-level employees. It also provides various opportunities for the employees to interact with people outside of the company as part of the training.

The worldwide demand for tires is increasing. We are developing a global manufacturing and supply footprint that allows us to quickly deliver products needed in each market. Many of our production facilities utilize our proprietary production technologies such as “Advanced Tire Operation Module (A.T.O.M.)” which is especially suitable for high-mix low-volume production. This allows us to supply high value-added products all over the world. We as a group are also working on meeting the quality standards in all of the countries where we do business through our ISO9001- and ISO/TS16949-based quality management system.
